Isoletics

Terms of service

Last updated 25 October 2026.

These are the terms you agree to by using Isoletics. The short version: the app measures what you can do and tells you what to train next, it is not a physiotherapist, the tests and your ladder are free, and the training plan is a subscription you buy from Apple and can stop at any time.

Who you are agreeing with

Isoletics is operated by Gilvara Ltd, a private limited company registered in Scotland, company number SC854313, registered office 5 5/4 Nova Scotia Place, Edinburgh, Scotland, EH12 9FU. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean Gilvara Ltd, and "you" means the person using the app.

Contact: support@isoletics.app. For anything about your data, privacy@isoletics.app and the privacy policy.

Training is physical, and this is the part to read

Isoletics is a training tool, not medical advice. We are not doctors, physiotherapists or your coach, and the app cannot see you. It takes numbers you type in and returns a progression based on them. It cannot tell whether your form is safe, whether an ache is ordinary or an injury, or whether a movement is wrong for your particular body.

Calisthenics skills load joints heavily — the planche and the front lever put a large share of your bodyweight through the wrists, elbows and shoulders, and the weighted tracks go up to 1.5 times your total bodyweight. You train at your own risk.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

What the app is, and what it does not claim

Isoletics assesses your current ability on a skill, places you on a progression ladder, and prescribes the next step. We want you to know exactly how solid that is:

Free and paid

Part of the appCost
The tests, your placement and your ladderFree, with no account and no card
The training plan and the session loggerSubscription

If we change what sits on which side of that line, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect, and anything you have already paid for stays available for the period you paid for.

The subscription

Trial

New subscribers get a 14-day free trial. If you do not cancel before it ends, it becomes a paid subscription at the price shown to you when you started it.

Price and renewal

The price is shown in the app before you buy and is charged in pounds sterling. Subscriptions renew automatically — monthly or annually, matching the plan you chose — until you cancel.

Your price does not go up. If we raise prices for new subscribers, you keep the price you signed up at for as long as your subscription runs without a break. If you cancel and come back later, you join at whatever the price is then. This is a commitment we make in the app and we are repeating it here so it is part of the agreement.

Apple takes the payment, not us

Purchases are made through the App Store. Apple is the seller of record, which means:

Your right to cancel

Because this is digital content supplied immediately, the 14-day right to change your mind under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 does not survive once supply begins — which is what starting the trial does. That is a statutory position, not a term we are imposing, and it does not affect your rights if the app is faulty or not as described. Those rights are set out below.

If the app is faulty

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If Isoletics is not, you are entitled to have it repaired or replaced and, where that is not possible or not done in a reasonable time, to a price reduction. These rights sit alongside anything in these terms and nothing here takes them away.

Tell us first, through You → Report something in the app or at support@isoletics.app. A report from inside the app arrives with the screen, the app version and your device attached, which is usually the difference between a fix this week and a fix eventually.

Your account

You can use the app with no account at all; everything is stored on your device. An account exists only so your numbers survive a new phone, and it is an email address and nothing else — no password, because signing in is a link we email you.

What you may not do

You may, of course, use what you learn in your own training, tell people what level you reached, and share the cards the app makes for exactly that purpose.

Who owns what

The app, its design, the written cues, the imagery and the progression data belong to Gilvara Ltd or are licensed to us. You get a personal, non-transferable right to use them while your subscription or free use continues — not ownership of them.

Your training numbers are yours. We use them to produce your plan and, in aggregate and anonymised form, to improve the levels and thresholds for everyone. The privacy policy is the detail, and it is the binding statement on data.

Sharing cards

The app can produce an image of a result for you to post. It carries no name and no personal detail, only the skill, the step and a photograph of the position. What you do with it is yours; what it says about you is only what you chose to share.

Limits on our liability

Read this with the injury section at the top, which is the part that matters most and which we do not limit.

Subject to that, and to anything else that cannot lawfully be limited: we are not liable for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable when you started using the app, for lost training progress, or for loss arising from a progression being rated at the wrong difficulty. Where we are liable, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim — and if you have never paid us, to £100.

We do not promise the app will be available without interruption. It depends on Apple's services, on our hosting provider and on your device, and any of them can fail.

Ending it

You can stop using Isoletics at any time, delete the app, and delete your data from inside it — You → Start over wipes your tests and plans on the device, and the privacy policy explains how to delete an account entirely.

We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms in a way that is serious or repeated. If we do, and you have paid for a period you have not used, we will arrange a refund of that part through Apple.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change in a way that affects you, the app will tell you before the change takes effect. The date at the top always reflects the current version. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it; if you do not, stop using it and cancel.

Law and where disputes go

These terms are governed by the law of Scotland, and the Scottish courts have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the United Kingdom you keep the right to bring proceedings in your own country's courts, and you keep the benefit of any consumer protection that applies where you live.

Complaints

Write to support@isoletics.app and we will reply. If a complaint is about your personal data and you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
